Wow, this is great if yous have fresh corn. I did not nuke this recipe, since I hated nuked food. I sauteed the jalapeno and scarlet onion in 3 T. butter until softened. Then added the corn and cooked well-nigh 5 minutes til tender. I then seasoned it with fresh ground white pepper and kosher table salt to taste. Did non have pimento or red pepper. Did not miss it. Wonderful side with Mexican food.

I loved this recipe. After reading the other reviews I decided to use cherry-red bell pepper instead of pimento. I also sauted the onion, pepper, and jalepeno in a tbsp of butter before adding frozen corn. Our family unit loved it. It was alot similar the mexicorn you can buy canned.

And so elementary, simply very tasty. Did not accept the pimento, but used blood-red onion for a footling color.

Very skilful! I didn't have any jalapeno peppers on manus, so I used half of a 4 oz can of diced green chile peppers (drained) and no pimentos. It was just enough rut for u.s.. Succulent!!!

keen summertime side dish, simple and great for picnics. i did make information technology in the microwave only next fourth dimension I'd make it even better but frying up the onions and making it all on the stovetop. Thank you for sharing!

Such an like shooting fish in a barrel way to jazz up a side dish of corn! I used canned corn, pickled jalapeno slices, and subbed some diced pepper for the pimentos. Succulent!

Fantastic corn dish - we loved information technology! I didn't accept corn on the cob, but did have frozen corn. I only center-balled the amounts of ingredients that I used. I mixed it all up in a skillet and cooked on the stovetop rather than the microwave. I used the final of the garden jalapeños in this recipe along with the concluding orange bell pepper in place of the pimento. This was packed with flavor and the jalapeños added a wonderful cipher. Most certainly will be gracing our table again.

My friends and family love this! I fabricated a few changes. Start, I grill the corn prior to cut information technology off the cob. Also, I substitute a red pepper for the pimento.

Corn is a favorite at our house (probably because information technology's then sweet) and my daughters did eat this up, just to me the overwhelming flavor of the finished dish was butter - fifty-fifty with the jalapenos and pimentos. I normally adapt my expectations based on the ingredient listing, but I actually didn't retrieve 2T of butter would have such an impact on the finish result!

Awesome! Super quick and easy. I used canned corn and a greenish onion for boosted color... YUM!

Holy smokes, this was ultra-simple, and yet one of the tastiest side dishes I've ever made. My footstep-son said it was the best corn he's ever had.

It's difficult to believe that something this easy to cook is as good as it is. Very delicious...I've used frozen corn and still loved it!

I too did not employ the microwave but sauteed everything instead. I subbed chopped ruddy bell pepper for the pimento and sauteed that in butter with the onion, then added the jalapenos. When those were crisp tender I added the corn and connected cooking until just heated through. Nice fashion to dress up corn! Two jalapenos was a chip spicy, so side by side time I might calibration it back to i. But this was nonetheless delicious!

Very YUMMY!!!! However, I didnt have any pimentos to add together to the dish, but the dish is still wonderful!!! Cooked on the stove top (from other reviews) and I added some cilantro at the end. YUMMMY :)

Whoa this was spicy!! My jalapenos must take been super spicy. I sauteed half an onion in butter with some minced garlic, I added a can of drained corn and the fresh jalapenos that I left the seeds in. I didn't have the pimento peppers, don't really care for them. Cracking side dish, volition make often!!

I haven't made this recipe but it is so like to i that I make that I am giving it 5 stars. With the hot peppers, I also add together finely diced sweetness carmine pepper and zucchini. I also add chopped parsley and chives and saute in a mixture of butter and olive oil. Yummy! I of my favourites.

I enjoyed this side dish paired with a simple oven fried fish. I did not love the pimento flavor, although I did love the color. The next time I will use finely diced roasted blood-red peppers.

simple and quick! I really wanted to brand this dish just cold, but chose to warm information technology upwards to let the ingredients meld together and practice this according to the recipe. Boy am I glad, this was dainty and tasty and super quick. I did employ the bong pepper instead of pimentos every bit I did not take them on mitt.

For those who thought 2T of butter was as well much, try 1T butter/1T x'5 olive oil. And, a can of black beans thrown in with a finely diced homegrown tomato is even mo improve!

This was great! The idea of microwaving it all didn't entreatment to me. I did microwave the corn and added it to the onion and jalapeno that I sauteed in butter. Besides common salt and pepper, I spiced information technology up by adding a petty garlic and onion pulverisation, cumin and chili powder. I fabricated a scaled downward version and volition keep this in mind for a squeamish side-dish. I liked it because it wasn't a creamy or heavy dish. Very light and refreshing. Mayhap a little lime juice would be good, too. Dainty recipe!

Great recipe and flavor! I also sauteed red onion, jalapeno, and ruddy bell pepper in butter--then added fresh corn. Information technology is a wonderfully spicy side dish. Cheers for sharing!

excellent flavour and texture. Very easy to fix

I made this with all the original ingredients. The just change was that I fabricated information technology on the stove elevation instead of the microwave. This dish has alot of potential, information technology was only defective something in the flavor department. I idea it would take some kicking from the jalapenos only it didn't. I volition make it again, merely will saute the jalapenos and onions and add cayenne pepper to gustation.

Only made this and it really jazzed upwardly ordinary frozen corn. I was surprised and will and then brand this for Thanksgiving.

So quick and like shooting fish in a barrel and delicious. I prepared information technology in a skillet, I used fresh corn that I cut off of the cob. I sauteed the peppers and onion in butter until tender and then I stirred in the corn and sauteed for some other 5-6 minutes. I reheated in the microwave the side by side day and it was still perfect. Corking texture and flavour.

I used cherry pepper in place of pimento pepper every bit that is what I had on manus. Did saute the jalapeno'southward, onions and cherry pepper in cast atomic number 26 skillet. Actually easy and very tasty! It's overnice to kick up vegetable dishes. Will def make again. Thanks for a great combo!!

made with frozen corn and i jalapeno on the stovetop and was good; would be even better with fresh corn when in flavor

quick, easy and full of flavor. I added some black beans and a little cholula, and it was succulent!

Thank you for such an easy recipe. Easily
08/09/2016
Easy recipe simply it is much better sautéed than cooked in the microwave. I make this on a regular footing in the summer when the jalapeños in my garden are growing like crazy.
10/14/2008
This was a spectacular addition to our Thanksgiving dinner - the spicy jalapenos were a bully dissimilarity to the heavier traditional favourites. I used jalapenos in a jar, and probably put in more than than 2 peppers' worth - it was succulent! I beloved recipes you tin can easily arrange to your own tastes and this certainly fits into that category. Thanks so much :)
11/17/2013
Very tasty! Takes corn to a new level.
09/20/2015
I made it on the stove top also, and it rapidly became a family favorite. Highly recommend! I did go out out the pimientos, merely I plant that information technology was fine without it.
09/09/2013
There is nothing like fresh corn in the summer! And then, so yummy! This recipe was a nice modify from regular corn on the cob, but, non as heavy as a creamed corn. I didn't use quite as much butter as the recipe called for and left out the pimento because my husband doesn't intendance for information technology. Dandy side dish for my Sunday night supper.
